New vending machines expand fresh food options on campus

to enhance the fresh, healthier dinner choices on university, MIT Dining recently rolled aside a pilot of 6am Health’s new Fridge vending machines into the fifth flooring lounge associated with Stratton Student Center (Building W20) as well as in the vending-machine location within first-floor intersection of structures 16 and 26.

“Fresh Fridge’s delicious dishes are loaded in reusable containers, that is ideal for students on the road who would like something they could throw in their particular backpacks but is much more beneficial compared to a granola bar or instant ramen,” claims Mark Hayes, MIT Dining manager. Options include quinoa bowls, salads, instantly oats, sandwiches, and fresh juices.

The devices accept bank cards and phone-based contactless repayment methods, but alternative methods to pay have been in the works. Fresh Refrigerators tend to be one other way MIT Dining is working to include worth and choice to consuming choices at MIT. check out a new Fridge device and deliver suggestions, remarks, or other any food for thought to foodstuff@mit.edu.
